I got mine at the Great Canadian Superstore in Stony Plain Alberta. I was on my own in the book section with so many lovely looking cookbooks and ended up buying three(?) books. I think my excitement at the time pushed out all other thoughts; the books were a tad heavy and our luggage was weighty already. Matt ended carrying them back to Australia in his backpack which he never lets me forget about as it killed his most excellent nike backback from 1992...
Matt is still recovering. I'm sure if I mentioned it now I would get a play by play recount of the journey home; how the straps dug in and how he didn't let it show so that no one would weigh his bag...
Matt's sister's family came over about a month ago and we had chicken with Creole Seasoning p326 and it was really really good. Hopefully it helped Matt a little with his grieving.
Creole Seasoning
2 1/2 Tablespoons sweet paprika
2 Tablespoons garlic powder
2 Tablespoons salt
1 Tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
1 Tablespoon onion powder
1 Tablespoon cayenne
1 Tablespoon dried oregano, crumbled
1 Tablespoon dried thyme, crumbled
Stir all together in a small bowl.
Will keep in an airtight container for six weeks.
In case I get in trouble: The Gourmet Cookbook p326
I still have a heap of BBQ Rub from The Joy of Cooking that needs to be used up but I will try this one next. I haven't made anything from it yet. Do you have the Joy of Cooking? Cause then I could recommend things to you. Also do you have the Rebar Cookbook. It is absolutley decedant vegetarian cooking.
