What have I been doing since I last blogged? Not much at all!
I feel like all I do is washing, cleaning and sleeping. Interrupted only by eating. And sometimes napping...
Yesterday Ben and I made some sugar cookies. I made more of an effort this time with the decorating. Ben helped with the measuring of the ingredients and the cutting of the shapes, but I had to put some cartoons on while I decorated them as the icing and Ben's fingers proved inseparable.

Matt went on a man weekend recently so Ben and I went to the Melbourne Zoo. A LOT of Ben's time is taken up with discussions of what he and Mali the baby elephant have been doing. They do a lot of things together, but mostly they play soccer. Back in the world of grown ups, where imaginative friends are frowned upon, we went to check up on Mali's progress.

Ben smiled slightly on the merry go round. I think it was a little overwhelming at the time, but he loves looking at the photos of himself on the horse.

And who can pass by the Lemurs?

Ben is at daycare today. Matt informed me that when he dropped Ben off this morning Ben wrapped his arms and legs around Matt's leg, bit him on the leg and had to be pried off. Then came the screaming and banging on the door to let him out... It makes me feel so horrible. Ben goes to daycare one day per week and I think it is good for him as he meets new kids, becomes a little more independent and acquires some social skills. I am however looking forward to next year when we can enrol him in three-year-old kinder/pre-school. I imagine that pre-school will be more of a little people's networking environment rather than a the drop-off/pick-up of daycare. Which means that we will need to get on top of potty training as the only requirement of three-year-old preschool is that your child be potty trained. We are making progress, but getting the pants off is an obstacle at the moment so a lot of Ben's home time is spent running around in his undies...
