Things that make me laugh

Did I ever post this?

Found it in my 'drafts' box.

It's making me laugh even now.

At least once each day I have a bit of a chuckle, usually at myself or my kids, and then I think, "I should blog that." I blog to share my life with my far away friends, but also as a record for myself. Like the journal that I should be keeping so I can look back 20 years from now and cringe.

I read an article (I dont talk to anyone anymore - i just read stuff) about Leo Shofield, who is selling a beautiful house in Tasmania.

The house was beautiful. Old. Fresh colours, clean shapes, good old bones and
not a ruche or doily or potpourri in sight.

But who is leo shofield? So I googled him. Leo is an Australian food critic, journalist and past artistic director of the sydney olympics, melb festival of the arts, etc. And he is also described as having once lost a $100,000 libel case for a restaurant review where he described the lobster as, "an albino walrus."

That made me chuckle.

Other things that have made me laugh in the past few days:

The Kid and I battle daily over how much TV he can watch. He turns it on himself and then I turn it off. He yells and screams and rolls around on the floor. I leave the room (he's safe in his rolling, I just don't want to give any attention to the TV beast).

Yesterday I found the Kid watching Keeping up with the Kardashians, which I turned off. Before he started his flipping flopping fish routine, he told me with tears in his eyes, "But mommy this is one of my favourites."
