The birthday party

The Kid's birthday party has been and gone. He seemed to have a great time - apart from when he held his hands over his ears when everyone sang him Happy Birthday. It was 'too loud'.

We played pass the parcel, pin the trunk on the elephant and we had a pinata. The pinata was a leftover from my last turn at hosting the family Christmas do when I forced a Hawaii theme upon the day. The kids were too concerned about the lollies inside the pinata to question why the pinata was a lady dressed for a luau. It was great fun just to watch.

Note the hands restraining the Kid from opening the parcel - not his turn. He understood the 'present inside the paper' concept, but perhaps not when to apply it.
