Yesterday we went to Lachlan's 2nd birthday party at Myuna Farm. Ben, Matt and I talk and read about animals all the time and Ben was really excited about going to the farm. "Chooks, chooks, choooooks!" was all I heard all morning. My mom took Ben to a friend's house a few weeks ago and they have chickens which my mom and Ben call chooks.
It was so hot yesterday and I think that Ben was a bit tired (getting too excited too early I think) by the time we got to the farm. We went to check out the chickens and on the way I saw a sign for piglets. We looked at the piglets for about two seconds before the biggest pig I have ever seen stood up right in front of us. Ben clung on to me like a tree frog and started shouting, "out out out!" So we left. We went to look at the turkeys. We got halfway through the turkey enclosure and all the turkeys started gobbling en masse. I was really loud and I think that was when Ben decided he wasn't looking at any more animals. So Ben spent the rest of the party sitting on the mini plastic tractor. And we looked at some turtles. On the way to the car Ben started saying, "good bye turtles, good bye animals, good bye tractor" but no good bye to the pigs. And last night at bedtime there was no request for the pigs book.
i love that pig. very cute. want to take him home with me.
